Q: What got you started in the real of character cosplay ?
When I went to my first comic convention I saw the cosplayers on stage...they were beautiful!! So I thought I could join the cosplay universe,because there were so many characters I loved and I wanted to dress as them.
Q:What made you join DA
I wanted to share my fanarts with other people. At that time I wasn't a cosplayer yet.
Q Do you fabricate your own costumes ?
Yes,sometimes I get help from my mom (she's a dressmaker).
Q:Approximate cost for each costume and time to fabricate ?
Huuu,nice question. Usually my costumes aren't very expensive,I always use old fabrics or clothes I already have. Guns are the most expensive part,but they don't cost more than 50$.
For some costumes I spent months,for others just a couple of days...It depends,some were really easy to fabricate ^^
Q:What is your favorite character or genre to "put on" ?
I usually cosplay videogames or movie characters. I really like girls with guns,characters I may look alike and sometimes I also like to transform myself in something completely different from what I actually am (an example of this is my Trevor Philips cosplay...he's probably my favourite character! :3)
Q:If you could be that character 24/7, would you do it ?
Of course!! That would be awesome!!
Qo you have a fave cosplay artists (like Ya Ya Han)
I still don't have a favourite one,but sometimes I've seen some cosplayers doing an amazing job. They weren't famous,but they had amazing armors and costumes!
Q:Favorite ComiCon and the one Con you avoid ?
My favourite Con is Lucca Comics,the biggest one in Italy.
I usually avoid conventions situated in shopping malls,most of them are chaotic and with people not interested in the art of cosplay.
Q:Are you an art major college educated, or an
entertainment industry professional ?
I'll graduate in art in a few months.
Q:Walking in public dressed in character, Do you have any funny
or weird situation stories that you can share ? Especialy for female costumes that are sexy, suggestive, and revealing
A lot of guys flirted with me...also,they didn't know what character I was and they thought it was a good idea to call me “Lara Croft” (...I was dressed as Alice from Resident Evil xD)
Q:What advice would you give for someone entering the cosplay for the first time
Be happy of what you do and always try to look similar to the character,even if you don't have much of possibilities (with money or fabrics)! The best part of this art is in turning something useless into a good job!
